About James P. Knepp
James P. Knepp was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was admitted to practice in the State of Indiana, including the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, in 1975. In 1995, he was admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, including the Trial Bar.
Jim received his B. S. summa cum laude in 1973 from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and his J. D. cum laude from the same school in 1975. He is a member of the St. Joseph County, Indiana State (Probate and Real Property, Business and General Practice Sections) and American (General Practice Section) Bar Associations. Jim's practice areas include Estate Planning and Probate, Wills and Trusts, Real Estate, Business and Corporate Law, and Adoptions.
Jim is a former instructor in the I.U.S.B. Paralegal Program (real estate, estate planning & probate) and co-chair of the St. Joseph County Probate Committee. Jim also serves on the Volunteer Lawyers Panel for Legal Services of Northern Indiana.
